The process for acquiring a Pennsylvania State Criminal History Report or Child Abuse Clearance Form has not changed and can be received by contacting the Pennsylvania Sate Police. The process for acquiring the Federal Criminal History Record requires the applicant to be fingerprinted. Applicants must register at Cogent Systems online or via phone at 1-888-439-2486 before going to the fingerprint site. Information, such as, name, address, social security number, etc will be collected during the registration process. Fingerprint site locations and hours of operation can be obtained from the Cogent Systems website. A fee will be charged for the fingerprinting service and can be paid online at Cogent Systems website or by money order or cashier's check at the fingerprint site on the day of processing. |
